Continuing Education - Climate Trades Instructor
Instructors will provide skills-based training and experiences in a traditional or non-traditional classroom setting and/or lab environment. The instruction provided will be specific to participants enrolled in the Climate Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) program seeking to enter careers in the expanding Clean Energy Industry.
Instructors will participate in training needs assessment using various techniques, conduct interactive and engaging training (at multiple sites around the region) for cohorts or participants using alternative and non-traditional methodologies appropriate and effective for working with adult learners, work with the Instruction and Assessment Coordinator to prepare and/or select education materials, and assist with the development and/or evaluation of new curricula and program designs.
Trainers will be responsive to input from local employers to address specific professional development needs on behalf of their workforce; customized solutions will be designed and delivered in a variety of modalities to best serve participants. The demand for tailored curriculum fluctuates; therefore, the need for a specific skillset may not be immediate.

- Experience with field training and/or classroom instruction preferred.
- Candidates should be comfortable and capable of demonstrating competency using video conferencing platforms and instructional technologies.
- Experience in a clean energy field is preferred.
- Position is located in the Western Suburbs, Illinois.
