Lead Montessori Primary Guide (Ages 3–6)

Diamante Montessori School in Glen Ellyn is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary (3–6) Lead Guide for the 2026–2027 academic year. We are a nurturing, child-centered community committed to fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Who You Are
  • Passionate about supporting the holistic development of young children

  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
Education & Training
  • AMS or AMI Early Childhood (3–6) Credential (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Willingness to be trained in Positive Discipline
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Montessori or early childhood classroom
  • Experience mentoring or co‑teaching
  • Familiarity with Kindergarten enrichment programs
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain consistent daily observation and record‑keeping systems
  • Implement a rich Montessori curriculum aligned with developmental goals, including cultural studies
  • Prepare and maintain a thoughtful, engaging classroom environment in collaboration with a co‑teacher
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student development (social‑emotional, academic, and motor skills)
  • Create monthly newsletters highlighting classroom learning and updates
  • Collaborate on conference reports and student assessments
  • Engage in reflective teaching practices and ongoing professional growth
