Continuing Education – Youth Academy High School Tutor – Chemistry
College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty to teach high school chemistry. The position provides the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment and to support students with diverse learning abilities. Flexible schedule may include days, evenings, and weekends.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
Adjunct faculty are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be delivered face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended. Duties include student evaluation and timely submission of required instruction paperwork.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in the subject matter. Two years’ experience teaching high school students preferred.
- Illinois professional educator license preferred.
- Ability to conduct in‑person tutoring at the Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Carol Stream, or Westmont campuses.
- Flexible scheduling with students.
- Access to personal computer, home technology, and ability to respond to emails promptly. Remote teaching skills preferred.
Hourly wage: $33.99. Positions are paid by stipend for course assignments.
