Adjunct Faculty, Welding
College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach welding. Candidates will facilitate and support student success in a multicultural environment, meet individual educational needs of our diverse campus, and ensure quality instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days, evenings, and weekends.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdjunct faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings; courses may be conducted in face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended formats. They are also responsible for student evaluation and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the field and/or a combination of education, training and tested experience.
- Associate’s degree in Welding with significant teaching experience.
- Minimum of 12 credit hours in higher education with technical formalized industry education, industrial certifications and/or 2000 hours of documented industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field.
- Bachelor’s degree and technical formalized industry education, certification and/or experience is required.
Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to personal technology and a home computer with appropriate ability to teach online is required.
These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
