Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education - Polish

College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach Polish. Faculty are committed to facilitating and supporting student success in learning and to meeting the educational needs of a unique, multicultural campus.

The successful adjunct candidate will be dedicated to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcoming students with diverse learning abilities. A flexible schedule may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Adjunct faculty are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes such as face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. Faculty are also responsible for student evaluation and for the timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications

Instructors will teach non‑credit, in‑person adult enrichment Polish courses. They must be fluent in both English and Polish. Courses meet once a week for three hours on a weekday evening or Saturday morning for five weeks. No academic credit is awarded.

  • Minimum two years of experience teaching adults is preferred.
  • Ability to teach in‑person at the Glen Ellyn campus is required.
  • Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred.
  • Access to personal technology, including a home computer with appropriate ability to teach online, is required.
  • Positions are paid by stipend for course assignments.
  • Pre‑employment background check at the college’s expense is required.
