Continuing Education - Youth Academy High School Tutor – Chemistry
College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach the Youth Academy High School Tutor – Chemistry course, with flexible scheduling in various delivery modes.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdjunct faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings in a variety of delivery modes—including face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, and blended formats. They also handle student evaluation and the timely, accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Required Qualifications- Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in the subject matter. Two years of high‑school teaching experience is preferred.
- Illinois Professional Educator license is preferred.
- Sessions are conducted in‑person at any of our campus locations in Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Carol Stream, or Westmont. Scheduling is set by the instructor and student and is flexible based on availability. Online sessions can be offered, but the preference is for in‑person tutoring.
- Access to personal technology and a home computer capable of responding to emails and delivering online instruction is required. Experience in virtual teaching and ability to use technology for remote instruction is preferred.
Hourly wage of $33.99. Positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
