Teacher​/Missionary Gospel Outreach

Job Description

World Gospel Outreach is looking for the right person to join our team in the role of EAGLE Teachers. The Teacher will be expected to prepare and plan instructional and educational activities and learning materials as well as preparing the classroom for said lessons and activities.

• They will oversee, monitor and keep record of students’ progress and learning and be expected to convey this information to parents, colleagues and students.
• They will be expected to stay up to date with developments regarding education, including changes in teaching methods and materials and adjust their curriculums accordingly.
• The teacher will also perform some pastoral duties such as
  • Student support,
  • Counseling students with academic problems and
  • Providing encouragement.
• They will also be expected to be involved in extracurricular activities including
  • sporting events,
  • social activities,
  • clubs and
  • student organizations.

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities and lesson plans to be used in the classroom.
• Provide a variety of learning experiences and materials.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, and tests.
• Establish and communicate clear expectations for students to follow.
• Observe, evaluate and keep records of student development.
• Maintain discipline and order in the classroom.
• Update and maintain records completely in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Participate in department and school meetings as well as parent meetings.
• Be available for other ministry duties as directed by the Ranch Director.
• Maintain status as a full-time fundraising missionary.
• Pursue personal spiritual growth.
• Maintain communication with Mentor Parents regarding the students academic performance.
• The essential requirements and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the above requirements and responsibilities.

• Be a born again believer in Jesus Christ.
• Bi-lingual, speaking both Spanish and English is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technology.
• Knowledge of relevant teaching tools and curriculums.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, supervisors and peers.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher will be accepted for Pre‑K, K, and HS grade levels.
• Degree in education or early childhood development is required for grades 1-6.
• Experience teaching in a Christian school or other relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Meet professional teaching requirements of school, district and state.
• Single subject teaching credential (if teaching a specific subject).
• State certification.
