Reading Aide - Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center (FWS Only)
Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived. If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct reading activities with elementary school children. All tutoring will take place for the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center's school sites.
- Conduct reading activities with elementary school children at Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center's school sites. (Location can vary)
- Conduct reading or language arts activities with elementary school children.
- All tutoring will take place at the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center.
- Report results to student's teachers.
- Attend training sessions.
- Required to attend staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
- If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
- If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
- Experience
- Interest in working with elementary age students required.
- Education background preferred.
- Spanish language background a plus, but not required.
- Licenses and Certifications
- COD Training
- Compliance Training
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to provide own transportation to school sites.
- Successful completion of background check.
- Position requires that the applicant have federal work study money.
- Hours varied.
- This student position requires the following test/tests:

Pay Rate:
Student Rate 3 - $16.50 per hour
