Reading Aide - Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center (FWS Only)

Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived. If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct reading activities with elementary school children. All tutoring will take place for the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center's school sites.

• Conduct reading activities with elementary school children at Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center's school sites. (Location can vary)
• Conduct reading or language arts activities with elementary school children.
• All tutoring will take place at the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center.
• Report results to student's teachers.
• Attend training sessions.
• Required to attend staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
  • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
• Experience
  • Interest in working with elementary age students required.
  • Education background preferred.
  • Spanish language background a plus, but not required.
• Licenses and Certifications
• COD Training
  • Compliance Training

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to provide own transportation to school sites.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Position requires that the applicant have federal work study money.
• Hours varied.
• This student position requires the following test/tests:
  Background Check.

Pay Rate:
Student Rate 3 - $16.50 per hour
