Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying their needs and providing guidance on financial solutions.
- Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver a seamless customer experience and achieve business objectives.
- Lead lobby conversations, recommending alternative banking channels and offering personal banking and investment advice.
- Meet transaction‑based customer needs with flawless execution and review customer profiles to identify opportunities for banking products and credit cards.
- Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, and the filing, opening, and closing of accounts.
- Incorporate marketing promotions and programs into conversations to provide strategic advice and grow customer relationships.
- Consult on personal banking and credit card opportunities, integrate knowledge of current products, practices, and trends.
- Report suspicious activity that could indicate money laundering and comply with all legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Adhere to risk and compliance processes, applying the Risk Management Framework to protect the bank’s assets and uphold the bank’s risk culture.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a customer‑service or sales role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- For Canadian candidates: registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (within 12 months).
- Proficiency with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Strong consultative sales skills and a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Good organizational, collaborative, analytical, and written communication abilities.
- Self‑starter with confidence to approach customers and thrive in a team‑based environment.
Salary range: $41,714.00 – $50,500.00 (salaried). Compensation may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards that vary by location and qualifications.
