We are a professional home maintenance, handyman, and remodel company serving homeowners throughout Western DuPage County. We are looking for a skilled painter who takes pride in clean, detailed work and can assist with light remodeling and repair projects when needed.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Residential Painter / Remodel Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs, surface preparation, trim work, and finishing. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-friendly, and comfortable working in occupied homes.
This is not production painting. We are looking for someone who values craftsmanship and can work independently while maintaining high standards.
Responsibilities
* Interior and exterior painting of walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, decks, and siding
* Proper prep work including:
* Patching drywall and plaster
* Caulking and filling nail holes
* Sanding and surface preparation
* Scraping peeling paint
* Priming and stain blocking
* Masking and protecting customer property
* Brush, roll, and spray application as needed
* Match textures and perform drywall touch-ups
* Minor carpentry and trim repairs before painting
* Light handyman/remodel tasks when needed
* Maintain clean and organized job sites
* Communicate professionally with homeowners
* Accurately document work and materials used
* Follow company quality standards and safety practices
Qualifications
Required:
* 3+ years of residential painting experience
* Strong prep and finishing skills
* Experience with drywall patching and minor repairs
* Ability to cut clean lines and deliver high-quality finishes
* Knowledge of paints, primers, caulks, and coatings
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders
Preferred:
* Experience in remodeling or handyman work
* Spray equipment experience
* Basic carpentry skills
* Experience with cabinet painting/refinishing
* Customer service experience
