Dreisilker Electric Motors Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to repair, test, and assemble electric motors, drives, and controls for industrial and commercial customers. You will troubleshoot AC/DC motors, perform rewinds and overhauls, assist with installations, and support shop and occasional field service work. The role emphasizes safety, quality craftsmanship, and practical problem-solving. You'll collaborate with experienced technicians, interact with customers as needed, and build deep technical expertise with opportunities to grow into service, sales, or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electric motors, drives, and controls
  • Perform motor disassembly, inspection, cleaning, rewinding, and reassembly
  • Test motors and controls using electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work orders
  • Support shop operations and occasional field service visits at customer sites
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Document findings, repairs, test results, and parts used in service reports
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues
  • Assist with installations, start-ups, and retrofits for industrial and HVAC systems
  • Participate in preventive maintenance and reliability improvement projects
