Garnet Valley Education Center

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3 years successful experience in general clerical, and/or business office work
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft Suite

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Asst.:
    Handle all secretarial duties and coordinate all correspondence as requested by Director of Business & Support Services
  • Property taxes:
    Field calls from tax payers and refer to individual tax collectors as necessary
  • Budget;
    Assist in the preparation of the general operating budget
  • Accounts Receivable:
    Process cash and check deposits for the district Accountant
  • Prepare and process financial transactions for the District with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Board of School Directors.
  • Communicate with District personnel to ensure completeness of financial transactions.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure the District's best interests.
  • Maintain and update vendor files.
  • Create, review, submit, and maintain 1099 files.
  • Implement new processes and procedures while proactively looking for areas of improved efficiencies.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Business and Support Services.
