Description: EC TBE/Special Education Teacher
Qualifications: Valid Illinois License (PEL) with EC Special Education and Bilingual Spanish Endorsements.

Candidates should possess a working knowledge of Grade PreK-3 programs and instructional techniques, especially in the area of language acquisition and biliteracy, along with a sound foundation in accepted behavioral management practices. Proven ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere as part of an instructional team is desirable. District 16 is seeking creative, productive teachers who will be able to assist in maintaining the excellent educational program currently offered and who will contribute to our ongoing objective of continuing improvement of services.

Working Conditions: PreK-8 Elementary Public School District in DuPage County.

Salary and benefits are regionally competitive.

Expectations: Must be prepared to work well within a team structure; will work with and understand the school community; and must be committed to the school improvement process and implementation of a working knowledge of accepted educational "Best Practices" with particular emphasis on Developmentally Appropriate Education, Illinois State Learning Standards, and English as a Second Language.
