Elementary Physical Education Teacher

Valid Illinois Standard Elementary Teaching Certificate (Grades K-9) with endorsement in physical education. Health Endorsement preferred. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of Grade K-4 programs and instructional techniques, along with a sound foundation in accepted behavioral management practices and physical health and development. Proven ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere as part of an instructional team is desirable.

PreK-8 Elementary Public School District in DuPage County.

Salary and benefits are regionally competitive.

Must be prepared to work well within a team structure; will work with and understand the school community and must be committed to the school improvement process and implement a working knowledge of accepted educational Best Practices with particular emphasis on Developmentally Appropriate Education, Illinois State Learning Standards, and English as a Second Language. Must be willing to teach in alternative classroom settings i.e. looping, teaming, etc.
