Financial Analyst, Financial Manager
The Village of Glendale Heights Finance Department is seeking a full-time Management Analyst in the Finance Department.
This position performs independent work researching, planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing required action on policies and/or projects which have been defined by the Finance Director. Provides annual budget and audit support; assists Departments with procurement, preparing of bids and managing contracts. Develops financial analysis to assist senior management in decision-making; performs internal audits; coordinates research, and completes special projects for the Finance and Administration.
This position will also conduct purchasing, prepare bids, and administer grants.
THE ROLE
Working under the general guidance and direction of the Finance Director, this position:
- Collaborates with Village departments on the procurement process including reviewing bid documents, vendor relations and responding to FOIA requests relating to bids or contract inquiries.
- Supports the annual budget process with reviews of department budget requests, budget document development, budget process efficiency improvements, the presentation for the Village Board and ensuring the document qualifies for the GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Award.
- Collaborates in the preparation, coordination and completion of the Village’s annual audit.
- Manages special projects for the Finance Department, performing various studies and research projects as assigned; assists the Administration Department with special projects as needed.
- Provides financial analysis including gathering data, processing data, analyzing, and making recommendations based in analysis.
- Administers the grant programs, including identifying funding sources, compiling data and needs assessments, grant submission and post‑award budget and grant documentation.
Salary Range: $76,856 – $112,923, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Finance or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Finance or related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in the field of public administration, Finance or similar field is required.
- Knowledge of government financial and government administrative operations.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
