Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for full time PATIENT TRANSPORTER positions at Advent Health Glen Oaks.

• Location:
  
  Advent Health Glen Oaks - 701 Winthrop Avenue, Glendale Heights, IL 60139. Online applications accepted only.
• Schedule:
  
  Full time Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; rotating weekends included. More details upon interview.
• Requirement:
  Previous related experience preferred.
• Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

• Properly and safely transports patients, securing IVs, drainage tubes, etc.
• Uses wheelchairs and approved rolling stock to carry out responsibilities.
• Demonstrates competency in transporting all age groups.
• Ensures timely and accurate transport to destinations using the correct equipment.
• Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or reception and dispatch.
• Maintains patient comfort by offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversation; never transports patients in severe pain.
• Alerts nursing staff immediately to signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
• Maintains equipment and reports needed repairs.
• Complies with federal, state, and JCAHO regulatory standards.
• Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies, including HIPAA procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
