Job Description:

* Integrates current published research and literature into all learning activities and maintains knowledge of national and local trends in nursing practice.

* Monitors and reports compliance with required education and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

* Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes using literature, research, and evidence-based practice.

* Shares unit performance improvement data with staff and is knowledgeable of unit results and action plans.

* Provides input for personnel performance evaluations and recognizes staff needs for additional skills, recommending pertinent education.

* RN will cover all four advent health hospitals in Great Lakes.

* Usually, one day per week but may be more or less

* On call Saturdays 7-11 at Hinsdale/Lagrange and 9-2 Bolingbrook and Glen Oaks

* Previous experience required in vascular access placing PICC's, midline's and us PIV

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Effective oral and written communication skills: strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills

* Self-direction, creativity, initiative to develop educational programs

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel

Education:

* Associate's of Nursing [Required]

* Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

* Technical degree

Work Experience:

* 2+ years experience in vascular access [Required]

* Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

* Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
