Job Description:

Locations: UChicago Medicine Advent Health Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N Oak Street, Hinsdale, IL and UChicago Medicine Advent Health Glen Oaks Hospital, 701 Winthrop Ave, Glendale Heights, IL

Schedule: 2 days per week at Hinsdale Hosp 9:30a-10p, 1 day per week at Glen Oaks Hosp 7a-7:30p;
Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Responds to telephone inquiries from individuals seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services. Admits patients to the hospital and registers outpatients with appropriate physician orders or transfers to another facility. Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies. Staffs a crisis hotline as needed. Assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements admissions for all Behavioral Health units according to department-specific criteria.

Reports findings to the provider for final disposition of each call. Facilitates both voluntary and involuntary admissions independently, acquiring all necessary consents and legal documents. Is knowledgeable of criteria for Medicare, Medicaid, Joint Commission / DNV, HMOs, and private insurance coverage for acute care services. Cooperates with and provides concurrent review information to insurance companies as requested or per contractual agreements Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor’s [Required]

• Master’s [Preferred]
