Job Summary:

Gosincro, Inc. is seeking a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to manage day-to-day human resources functions for our Illinois operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the full employee lifecycle, administering benefits, and ensuring total compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to seamlessly navigate Illinois-specific labor regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute company-wide employee engagement events, team-building activities, recognition programs, and cultural initiatives to foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and the interpretation of employment laws.
  • Manage conflict resolution, address staff grievances, and enforce company policies through fair and consistent disciplinary action.
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and executing smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Administer and track federal and state-mandated employee leaves, ensuring total compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA), the Family Bereavement Leave Act (FBLA), and the Victims' Economic Security and Safety Act (VESSA).
  • Manage the company’s Workers' Compensation program, including filing timely claims, maintaining required OSHA logs, coordinating with insurance carriers, and managing return-to-work or light-duty programs in compliance with the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee personnel files. Ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations, including the thorough audit, verification, and maintenance of Form I-9 documentation.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs. Assist team members with enrollment, status changes, and claims, and provide comprehensive support during annual open enrollment periods.
  • Update and submit accurate payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, deductions, and leave data to the payroll department on time.
  • Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management and employees to maintain standards.
  • Participate in and support broader HR initiatives and organizational projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist, including a proven track record of designing and launching successful employee engagement or company culture initiatives.
  • Proven, hands, on experience utilizing the HRIS platform is required (Paylocity preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, Illinois, and local employment laws, including I-9 compliance, Illinois leave laws, and Illinois Workers' Compensation guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels in both English and Spanish (Bilingual required).
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities, strong event planning or project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of emotional intelligence.
Job Type: Full-time Salary
: $88,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year (DOE)
