CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Title

Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist (Setup & Operate) – 1st or 2nd Shift. Competitive pay and full benefits.

Glendale Heights, IL – Onsite.

$30 - $38 per hour.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist who can independently set up, program (conversational or g‑code), and operate multi‑axis lathes with live tooling. This role requires strong blueprint reading, first‑article inspection capability, and the ability to troubleshoot programs and tooling issues.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes (multi‑axis, live tooling preferred).
• Load programs and make offsets as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Perform first‑article inspections and in‑process checks.
• Troubleshoot tooling, program, and machine issues.
• Maintain quality and production standards.

• 3+ years CNC lathe setup experience.
• Experience with multi‑axis lathes and live tooling preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Experience making program edits or conversational programming.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
