Volt is immediately hiring for Fabrication Associate in Glendale Heights, IL.
As a Fabrication Associate, you will:
- Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
- Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies.
- Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
- Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines.
- Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication.
- Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately.
- Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches.
- Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- 6 months industrial labor experience.
- Ability to use and understand tape measures, use gauges for quality checks
Preferred Skills &
Qualifications:
- 6 months of mechanical background experience.
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.
