Sales Representative

Summary

Sales, or sales representatives, receive specialized training on a company's products and use their skills to increase awareness of Company and increase sales. Sales duties typically involve attracting new and traditional customers, sharing product knowledge, and answering customer questions and requests.

Essential Duties
  • Drives business by identifying and selling prospects and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Sells products and services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions.
  • Develops new business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new applications and sales strategies.
  • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
  • Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
  • Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Weekly business reports to management to discuss sales strategies.

Qualifications
  • 3
    -5 years of sales experience in industrial equipment and machine parts.
  • BA in business administration or a related field
