Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and strong vendor relationships? We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Glendale, AZ team and play a key role in ensuring timely, accurate, and well-controlled payment operations.

Key responsibilities include

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies, including three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded to general ledger accounts and cost centers and prevent duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized payments
• Prepare and process payments in accordance with vendor terms, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and corporate credit cards
• Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable balances; research and resolve invoice, pricing, and payment discrepancies
• Support month-end close activities and assist with audit requests and general accounting duties as needed
• Respond to vendor inquiries and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate exceptions or transactions outside established purchasing policies to management while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years in accounting or related field
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
