We're looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who combines strong tax and accounting knowledge with an approachable, client-focused communication style. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with business owners and individuals, can manage work with limited hand-holding, and knows how to take a complicated accounting or tax issue and explain it in a way that makes sense.

• 3+ years of relevant tax and accounting experience
• CPA or EA strongly preferred
• Recent public accounting or CPA-firm tax experience strongly preferred
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
• Experience with returns such as 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, and 1041
• Comfortable working with complex returns and high-net-worth clients
• Ability to independently manage multiple client engagements and competing deadlines
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Experience working directly with business owners and individual clients
• Ability to translate complicated accounting and tax concepts into clear, practical language
• Patient and approachable communication style that helps clients feel comfortable asking questions
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to mentor, review, or support less-experienced team members
• Genuine interest in becoming a trusted advisor rather than simply completing assigned work

Technical knowledge matters, but the ability to communicate that knowledge matters just as much. Our strongest Senior Tax Accountants can sit across from a business owner who does not speak "accounting" and explain a complicated issue without relying on jargon. They help clients understand what is happening, what it means for them, and what they should consider next. We want someone who makes clients feel more informed after the conversation, not less capable because they had to ask the question.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Review financial information for accuracy and identify issues or opportunities that require attention
• Build strong client relationships through responsiveness, personal attention, and thoughtful guidance
• Serve as a trusted resource when clients have questions about their business, finances, or tax situation
• Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining quality and deadlines
• Stay current on changes in tax law, accounting standards, and applicable regulations
• Support, review, and mentor less-experienced team members as appropriate
