Contract Analyst
The Contract Analyst is responsible for reviewing and processing builder contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with company standards. This position works closely with Sales, Estimating, Operations, and the Contracts team to support contract administration, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records. The Contract Analyst is responsible for completing contract-related tasks accurately and efficiently while providing excellent support to both internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contract Review & Administration
- Review builder contracts to ensure pricing, product specifications, and option selections align with approved estimates and project documentation.
- Analyzes pricing using internal systems and reports.
- Review builder purchase orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Exercise independent judgment.
- Identify pricing discrepancies and communicate with internal departments to resolve issues.
- Support business decisions.
- Track contract status and ensure required documentation is complete before execution.
- Customer & Team Support
- Respond to contract-related questions from internal departments and builder partners.
- Work closely with Sales, Estimating, and Operations to resolve contract issues.
- Support the Sr. Contract Analyst with contract reviews, special projects, and department initiatives.
- Participate in process improvements and recommend opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Reporting
- Prepare routine reports related to contract activity.
- Assist with contract research and documentation requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to identify discrepancies and follow established processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 1-2 years of experience in contract administration, purchasing, estimating, operations, customer service, or a related business function. Experience reviewing contracts, purchase orders, or pricing documentation preferred. Construction, homebuilding, manufacturing, or building materials industry experience preferred. Experience with ERP systems or contract management software (Fene Vision preferred).
