Will assist in determining the cause of unsafe conditions and injury claims through procedure, equipment, and facilities inspection and worker observation.
Performance and Service Standards Training:
Support Training Managers with monthly Safety meetings (. C 4.5.1 ss)
Provide OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 trainings
Conduct Toolbox talks as needed
Safety:
Conduct daily Site Safety audits and provide report of site visit with findings (. C 5.1.1 ss)
Conduct Supervisor Investigation for incidents (injury, accident, equipment theft, equipment damage, near-miss and line strike) (. C 6.0 ss)
Facilitate corrective measures where warranted
Enforce safety policies and procedures as required by OSHA law and Company Policies Perform periodic evaluations of tools and equipment
Ensure that safety meetings (toolbox talks) are taking place
Review and approve safety plans
Promote safe work practices
Experience preferred in the following area:
Experience with construction safety
Knowledge of construction
Excellent collaboration, problem-solving and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Qualifications
Must possess a thorough knowledge of interpreting and complying with OSHA as well as best practices in construction safety1+ years of relevant safety experience working on construction projects OSHA 30 in construction or higher OSHA certification
First aid/CPR certification (not required but a plus)
Must have a valid driver’s license

Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions.
Judgment and Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Time Management – Managing one’s own time and the time of others.
Social Perceptiveness – Being aware of other’s reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
Computer Skills with Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team
