About Vineyard Church North PhoenixAt Vineyard Church North Phoenix, everybody’s welcome, nobody’s perfect, and anything is possible. We’re an established mega-church community in Glendale, AZ, gathering for weekend services (Saturday 5pm, Sunday 9:15am & 11am) and serving our neighbors through our Food & Clothing Bank, Medical Clinic, and more. We’re looking for a creative, story-driven coordinator to help us tell the story of what God is doing in our church.
PositionSummary
The Creative & Communications Coordinator brings VC's story to life across our core digital and print platforms. This role creates content, sets the creative direction for our graphic design team’s output, coordinates day-to-day with our social media staff and executes the marketing plan for church events and services as set by church leadership. At its core, this is a storytelling role: finding, capturing, and sharing what God is doing in our church and our community.
This is a hybrid role combining hands-on content creation with creative direction and day-to-day coordination of our creative team and volunteers.
Reports to: Discipleship Pastor Creative directs: Graphic Design team (1 full-time, 1 part-time)
Coordinates with: Social Media team (1 part-time), Volunteer Photography team (6 volunteers), Volunteer Videography team (3 volunteers) - formal supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluation of all staff and volunteer teams sits with the Discipleship Pastor; this role owns the creative/artistic direction of the graphic design team’s work
- Help maintain visual consistency for VC's social and digital presence, in line with the brand direction set by church leadership
- Review outward-facing digital content for alignment with the church's voice and look
- Set creative and artistic direction for the graphic design team's work, ensuring it's consistent with VC's brand and voice
- Review, give feedback on, and approve design concepts before they go out
- Assign design priorities in partnership with the Discipleship Pastor, who handles scheduling and performance management
- Coordinate day-to-day workflow with the social media team
- Coordinate with the volunteer photography team (6 volunteers) on shoot-day logistics and coverage for services and events
- Coordinate with the volunteer videography team (3 volunteers) on shoot-day logistics and coverage for services and events
- Help onboard new social media volunteers into existing team workflows
- Create original social media content, focused primarily on Instagram and Facebook, with other platforms (You Tube Shorts, Tik Tok, etc.) covered as capacity allows
- Capture and repurpose event and weekend service moments into engaging social media content
- Coordinate with volunteer videographers to produce event recap content
- Produce weekly video announcements
- Execute the marketing plan for church-wide events and major services (print, video announcements, email, social media, website), as directed by church leadership
- Help keep messaging and creative aligned and on schedule across channels
- Discover and tell stories of what God is doing through the church - in the local community and in the lives of church members
- Help gather testimonies and stories from staff, volunteers, and the congregation
- 1–3 years of experience in content creation, communications, marketing, or a related field (church or nonprofit experience a plus)
- Comfortable coordinating with a small team and volunteers, without requiring formal management experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design and/or video/photo content creation
- Hands-on proficiency with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Cap Cut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Strong fluency in Instagram and Facebook content trends
- Good project coordination skills; able to juggle multiple deadlines and events
- Strong storytelling instincts — able to spot and shape a compelling narrative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A growing, active relationship with Jesus and alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Vineyard Church North Phoenix
- Experience coordinating volunteer teams in a church or ministry environment
- Videography and photography skills
- Familiarity with Tik Tok and You Tube Shorts content
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, given VC’s Español ministry
