Overview

Referral Coordinator – Internal Medicine & Emergency – Peoria, AZ

Looking to grow your veterinary career in a specialty hospital setting? We’re hiring a Referral Coordinator (RC) to provide high-level reception and client support for our Internal Medicine (IM) service, with opportunities to assist the Emergency (ER) team and support administrative workflows.

This role is ideal for a highly engaged, experienced veterinary professional who enjoys client interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to take ownership of responsibilities beyond traditional front desk duties.

Schedule

Sunday–Wednesday. Includes holidays. Opportunity for additional hours in Emergency.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and patients visiting Internal Medicine
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and support clients with questions and next steps
  • Welcome and check in clients with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency
  • Communicate with medical teams to support smooth patient flow and preparedness
  • Guide clients through estimates, invoices, and financial conversations
  • Perform follow-up calls and support an outstanding client experience
  • Provide reception support to Emergency during busy periods as needed
  • Ensure accuracy in documentation, invoicing, and front desk processes
  • Assist with administrative tasks and contribute to hospital projects or committees
  • Work directly with Client Service Manager processing End of Day finances, client complaints, financial audits, and auditing

  • Comfortable discussing estimates and payments with clients
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment

  • Interested in professional growth and being involved in hospital initiatives
  • Flexible and dependable, including weekends and holidays
