Lumina Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time
Mobile
Dental Assistant to work in the Glendale, AZ area. Qualified candidates will travel by company van to multiple facilities located within a designated territory. We are currently seeking a Mobile Dental Assistant to join our progressive mobile dental practice.
Position Details
- Hiring Immediately! $500 Retention Bonus! (Payable upon 90 days - must be in good standing).
- Prepare clinical cart and supplies for the day’s schedule and drive the company vehicle to various health care facilities.
- Assist the dentist with setting up for treatment and clean up after treatment is completed.
- Carry equipment in and out of facilities, set up as required.
- At the end of the day, clean and sterilize instruments and restock the cart.
- Maintain infection control protocols and patient safety throughout visits.
- Provide patient check-in/check-out forms and maintain patient records with confidentiality.
- Communicate and interact with facility staff as needed and verify patient identification prior to treatment.
- Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (California or Arizona as applicable).
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, including sterilization and infection control.
- Familiarity with basic computer usage for online training, patient record access, and email.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds of dental equipment.
- Weekday commitment with no weekend duties.
- Assist Dentist in post-acute care settings and travel to multiple facilities daily.
- Frequent overtime may be required due to varied travel distances.
- Prepare clinical cart and supplies for the day’s schedule.
- Drive to and from health care facilities in the company vehicle.
- Check in with Social Services on arrival and provide check-in/check-out forms.
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records and confidentiality.
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and obtain patient medical histories as needed.
- Explain post-treatment oral care instructions and provide oral hygiene guidance.
- Order supplies as needed and ensure all equipment and supplies are accounted for before leaving facilities.
- Maintain and operate the company vehicle in a clean and safe manner.
- One year of experience as a dental assistant is preferred but training will be provided.
- Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, sterilization, and infection control.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record for the applicable state.
- Basic computer skills for online training and patient record access.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds of equipment.
Our experienced dentists perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing dental care to residents of post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, and related facilities.
Physical/Mental Demands And Work Environment- Frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting for extended periods.
- Frequent bending and reaching; frequent driving/travel in a company van.
- Requires visual and auditory acuity; ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds for moving equipment.
