Wooler First School are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice to join their Early Years Team.
Wooler First School has 179 pupils between the ages of 2 and 9yrs, and shares facilities with Glendale Middle School. They also operate a nursery and childcare provision onsite. The School follows the National Curriculum but places great emphasis on the development and well‑being of the whole child.
Education is a journey and not a destination. We hope that here at Wooler we give to the children an education that they can use to the benefit of the communities in which they will eventually live.
What will I be doing?As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, you will be learning on the job to be actively involved in the provision of effective care and education of children in the Early Years department of the school.
What will I need?You will need to be motivated and passionate about early years, have some knowledge of child development and be willing to work as part of a team.
What will I receive in return?We’ll support you to learn new skills, and to thrive in your role, undertaking a Level 2 Early Years Apprenticeship Qualification with Northumberland Skills, part of Northumberland County Council. At NCC, our apprentices are paid a percentage of the salary for the role the apprentice is working towards. This is always at least National Minimum Wage and increases after 12 months as you develop your knowledge and skills.
