Description
Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, invites applications for the Director of Clinical Education (DCE), a full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty appointment for the Graduate Nursing Program Master of Science in Nursing Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program.
ResponsibilitiesThe DCE will work closely with the Program Director to advise, evaluate, and develop the clinical education curriculum. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Managing and facilitating new and existing clinical site partnerships
- Developing and implementing policy
- Developing and leading clinical faculty development initiatives
- Performing site visits, advising students, and evaluating and tracking student performance and outcomes
Additional responsibilities include scholarly activities and committee responsibilities within the Graduate Nursing Program, College of Health Sciences, and at the university level. The DCE will also be assigned to serve as Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Chair faculty for students completing their DNP projects.
Qualified applicants must possess an unencumbered Arizona registered nursing license or nursing compact/multi-state privileges, a national certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), an Arizona advanced practice registered nursing (APRN), and at least two years of APRN experience. It is preferred that the applicant holds a DNP, Ph.D., or equivalent doctorate degree.
