Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a School Psychologist in Glendale, AZ, to support the educational and mental health needs of students in a dynamic school setting. This contract position offers a standard workweek of 37.5 to 40 hours, providing a focused environment to apply specialized skills in school psychology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for referred students to identify learning and behavioral needs.
- Make eligibility recommendations for special education services based on thorough evaluations.
- Actively participate as a vital member of Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop effective student support plans.
- Lead school-based teams in completing Functional Behavioral Assessments, contributing to behavior intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential evaluation and special education records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Deliver direct services including counseling and skills training to both general and special education students.
- Support school-wide mental health initiatives by promoting prevention, intervention, and positive behavioral health practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona School Psychologist Certification is required.
- Experience managing at least one high school caseload is essential.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and psychological assessment procedures.
- Effective communication and collaborative skills to work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
