ESS Instructional Assistant
2026–2027 School Year | Full-Time | Glendale, AZ | Paraprofessional
About the Role:Support students in a school-based setting by providing one-on-one and classroom assistance. You'll work alongside teachers to help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally while creating a safe, supportive learning environment.

- Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with special needs or academic challenges
- Supervise students during classroom activities and help maintain a safe learning environment
- Support classroom behavior and reinforce positive student engagement
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or college coursework preferred)
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and/or fumes
- Frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
