Junior High Teacher

• Implement instructional activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences
• Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, mathematical, scientific, historical, geographical, and citizenship skills according to subject assignment
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources for students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
• Use direct instruction techniques to promote students’ social, physical, and intellectual growth
• Assess changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement
• Maintain effective and efficient student records
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and other professionals
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment
• Model professional and ethical standards
• Ensure continuous and age-appropriate student growth and achievement
• Participate in training and staff meetings
• Meet deadlines, honor schedules, and coordinate meetings as needed
• Evaluate student learning capabilities and celebrate accomplishments
• Encourage students to uphold school values and model mature behavior and good character
• Travel between campuses as required
• Participate in events outside normal hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain
• Must pass a criminal history background check
• Current teaching certificate from the state where the position is located preferred
• Ability to travel between campuses
• Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, concentrate for long periods, and move throughout campus
• Local and in-state travel required
