You’ll make a difference by working closely with students in SEAL and PALS programs, providing tailored education and encouragement.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience in a self-contained classroom strongly preferred
• Familiarity with SEAL (Social Emotional Academic Learning) and/or PALS (Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies) programs a plus
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Compassion, flexibility, and an inclusive teaching mindset
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction customized to the needs of each student
• Manage a caseload (to be assigned) within a self-contained environment
• Develop and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a positive, supportive learning atmosphere that inspires student engagement
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records per program requirements
• Participate in professional development and stay current on best practices in special education
• Collaborate with general education teachers, instructional assistants, and family members to drive student growth

This full-time position offers a consistent weekday schedule of 37.5 hours per week and the chance to help students achieve milestones in their educational journey.
