Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You will develop engaging lesson plans, teach students of varying ages and skill levels, prepare them for performances and auditions, and track progress. Collaborate with store staff to support student recruitment, studio growth, and recital events. Ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment while promoting instruments, accessories, and services that enhance student success.

Weekend and evening availability required in this mission driven, education focused retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and adapt lesson plans aligned with student goals and abilities
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Assess and document student progress and communicate with parents/guardians
• Maintain an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment
• Collaborate with store staff to recruit and retain students and grow the lesson program
• Recommend instruments, accessories, and services that support student learning
• Participate in student recitals and in store educational events
• Ensure proper use, care, and setup of instruments and lesson spaces
• Follow company policies, scheduling procedures, and attendance tracking
