Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a resource setting for the  school year. This part-time opportunity is ideal for educators looking for flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on student learning and growth.

As a member of a collaborative educational team, you’ll provide individualized instruction, support students in achieving their IEP goals, and help create an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.
  • Special Education Teaching Certification preferred and may be required by the district.
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.
  • Current health certificate, if required.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Compliance with all professional standards of practice.

Compensation Local Candidates
  • Up to $50/hour
Travel Candidates
  • Up to $1,500 Weekly Gross Pay Package
  • Includes eligible weekly stipends:
  • $700 Housing Stipend
  • $400 Meals & Incidentals Stipend
