Teacher, Middle School

Ombudsman Educational Services, a Chance Light Education brand, seeks a Teacher to support middle and high school students in an alternative education setting. You will deliver personalized, credit-bearing instruction for students who are at risk, have dropped out, or need a nontraditional environment. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, managing a small, structured classroom, monitoring academic and behavioral progress, and collaborating with school districts and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-based instruction to middle and high school students in an alternative setting
• Develop and implement individualized and small-group lesson plans
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
• Support behavior management and maintain a safe, structured classroom
• Collaborate with school districts, families, and support staff on student plans
• Document attendance, grades, and progress in required systems
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings and implement accommodations
• Contribute to a student-centered, mission-driven school culture
