Math Teacher

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks a Math Teacher to deliver personalized, standards-aligned instruction to middle and high school students in an alternative education setting. You will teach credit-bearing math courses to students who are at risk of dropping out or need a nontraditional environment, using data to tailor lessons and track progress. In a small, structured classroom, you will apply strong behavior support and classroom management strategies, collaborate closely with school districts and families, and contribute to a mission-driven team focused on student success and graduation pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide standards-aligned math instruction for middle and high school students in an alternative education program.
• Develop and implement individualized, credit-bearing lesson plans to support diverse learning needs.
• Use data to monitor progress, adjust instruction, and document academic growth.
• Implement effective classroom management and behavior support strategies in a small-group setting.
• Collaborate with school districts, colleagues, and families to support student success and transitions.
• Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and documentation in accordance with program and district requirements.
• Participate in professional development related to special education, behavior support, and student advocacy.
