A nationally recognized design-build mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor is seeking experienced MEP QA/QC Managers to support large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects across the United States. This role requires flexibility for nationwide travel and project-based assignments.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in MEP systems, a deep understanding of quality control processes, and the ability to lead quality initiatives on complex construction projects.
Position OverviewThe MEP QA/QC Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs. This role ensures all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations meet contractual requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage project QA/QC plans
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance
- Coordinate inspections and testing of MEP systems
- Monitor installation activities to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Lead preparatory meetings, first-work inspections, and follow-up inspections
- Manage non-conformance reports and corrective actions
- Interface with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and clients
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes
- Support commissioning and turnover documentation
- 5+ years of experience in MEP construction, commissioning, or quality control
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience on large commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or manufacturing projects
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and startup procedures
- Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for project assignments
- Experience in design-build environments
- Background in commissioning or startup of complex MEP systems
- OSHA certification
