Responsibilities

As an engineer at ENERCON, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and coordinate with diverse engineering teams to ensure project success. Your day may involve developing design studies, conducting engineering calculations and analysis, attending project meetings, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also need to:

  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Serve as the link between engineering teams to ensure smooth integration across all project disciplines.
  • Shape Project Success: Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create precise engineering estimates to drive success.
  • Master Procurement & Installation: Write detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and choose top‑tier solutions for project needs.
  • Perform Precision Calculations: Execute crucial electrical calculations that are essential for successful designs and installations.
  • Think Creatively: Offer new perspectives and innovative solutions to tackle complex technical challenges and drive projects forward.
  • Be Hands‑On in the Field: Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, supervise installations, and support start‑up activities to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Lead and Inspire Teams: Create a positive, goal‑focused environment with a motivational leadership style, encouraging teams to achieve outstanding results.
Qualifications

This role encompasses a range of positions. The minimum qualifications for mid‑level candidates include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent experience in a related role.
  • Typically 3 years of experience in the design of electrical systems.
  • Preferred experience in one of the following industries: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (including chemical or pulp & paper), energy, and government (DOE) projects.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in teams.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Important Notes
  • Senior Engineers typically have 7 years of post‑graduate experience in a related role.
  • Principal Engineers usually have at least 10 years of post‑graduate experience in a related role.

Compensation Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $ /Yr.
