Position: CAPABILITY INTEGRATOR.

Duties

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Test and Evaluation related to materiel requirements, analyzing and providing expert guidance on research and technology programs.
  • Analyzes and resolves unique or novel problems, conditions, or issues by developing solutions for complex and highly challenging test and experimentation challenges.
  • Formulates and presents substantial technical recommendations for problem resolution to ensure efficient management and coordination of test and evaluation activities.
  • Develops innovative project approaches to minimize expenditures and achieve goals.
  • Evaluates and provides oversight on economic factors and cost‑related risks affecting high‑priority test and evaluation programs.
  • Consults with external organizations to represent the command's position, resolve diverse viewpoints, and influence outcomes on test and evaluation processes and policies.
Requirements

Conditions of employment:

  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 50% of the time.
  • This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security ed Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
  • Signing of a DA Form 5019 acknowledging periodic random drug testing is mandatory prior to being placed into this position. Individuals must successfully complete a drug test prior to being placed into this position and periodically thereafter.
  • Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years.
  • Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one‑year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be.

Education Requirement
  • Degree:
    Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); OR (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses more advanced than first‑year physics and chemistry in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics;

    (b) strength of materials; (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials; (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
