As a Mechanical Design Engineer I/Engineering Analyst here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will complete complex analyses of parts used in space related applications including Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Control Moment Gyroscopes, Isolation systems, Mechanisms and Electronics Packaging. Duties also include developing and documenting new analysis techniques to solve issues as they arise, provide detailed documentation and reports as well as present results to customers, both internal and external.
You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Supervisor and work out of our Glendale, AZ site on a Hybrid work schedule.
Note:
For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.
Honeywell Aerospace Glendale, AZ facility has a 40-year heritage of engineering, designing, testing, and manufacturing high reliability products for manned and unmanned space applications and missions.
Key Responsibilities- Finite Element Modeling using Siemens NX
- Thermal Analysis
- Structural Analysis
- Customer presentations and communications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 2 yrs+ of design analysis experience
- Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SINDA, MSC/NASTRAN, MATLAB, Ansys Thermal Desktop.
- Ability to convey messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- Team working ability
- Individuals who are ambitious and able to work with little supervision, take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or required by events
- Ability to juggle different assignments and set priorities
- Good interpersonal skills verbal and written
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Creative problem solving
- Proficient in MS Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
