Game Tech – Andretti Indoor Karting & Games
An Andretti Game Tech is a part‑time role responsible for anticipating guest needs and exceeding guest service expectations while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions assist guests in various areas, following Andretti Indoor Karting & Games’ high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome visitors by greeting them in a friendly and positive manner.
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
- Perform repairs on games and explain operation to guests.
- Conduct inventory of electronics, game parts, tools, etc.
- Document game issues, parts and work history.
- Be a self‑starter and able to work alone.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all games, simulators and attractions.
- Comfortable with AV systems including movie sound, mobile video, projectors and control systems.
- Use/read a volt/ohmmeter and a soldering gun.
- Read schematics.
- Stock and maintain inventory of all prize games.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and general point‑of‑sale operations.
- Rudimentary knowledge of troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.
- Ensure all games are clean and presentable to guests.
- Observe, instruct and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
- Assist with guest recovery and notify manager to ensure positive guest experiences.
- Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co‑workers.
- Work as a team player to meet guests’ needs and contribute to other departments.
- Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean work area in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Know facility emergency procedures.
- Perform opening, running and closing department duties as assigned.
- Adhere to uniform guidelines.
- Show eagerness to learn new skills and trades.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of prior guest service experience preferably in hospitality, restaurant or entertainment settings.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and guest‑focused mindset.
- Ability to perform job duties in a fast‑paced and amplified environment.
- Ability to use a point‑of‑sale system and other electronic equipment.
- Varied schedule availability including days, nights, holidays and weekends.
- Walk or stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 15 lbs and, occasionally, up to 50 lbs.
- Perform functions requiring organization, bending, reaching, turning, climbing and stocking.
- Communicate quickly and accurately.
- Work in environments with bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds.
- Manual dexterity to use and operate equipment.
- Understand, follow and maintain safety standards at all times.
