We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join a growing and evolving organization. This role will play a key part in managing inventory costing, evaluating pricing, and supporting project cost analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, is comfortable building processes from the ground up, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to support both strategic and day-to-day accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and manage inventory costing and adjustments
    , including manual updates based on physical inventory counts
  • Analyze and support tariff costing and pricing evaluations across products/projects
  • Review and assess project-level costs
    , selecting key projects to determine actual vs. estimated costs
  • Identify and maintain project classifications and costing methodologies
  • Support inventory-heavy accounting operations
    , ensuring accurate valuation and reporting
  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) processing as needed
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate and improve costing accuracy and transparency
  • Identify and drive process improvements
    , especially around manual workflows, in preparation for system enhancements (Epicor)
  • Provide flexible support across accounting functions, stepping in where needed in a lean environment
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 3+ years of cost accounting experience
  • Strong experience working in inventory-heavy environments
  • Comfortable working with manual processes and helping to improve them over time
  • Proficiency with Quick Books and strong Excel skills
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Willingness to take on a hands-on, adaptable role and support multiple areas as needed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    , particularly around pricing and cost evaluation
  • Demonstrated focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Experience working in a multi-site environment
  • Exposure to or experience with Epicor ERP (especially in implementation or transition phases)
