We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join a growing and evolving organization. This role will play a key part in managing inventory costing, evaluating pricing, and supporting project cost analysis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, is comfortable building processes from the ground up, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to support both strategic and day-to-day accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and manage inventory costing and adjustments
, including manual updates based on physical inventory counts - Analyze and support tariff costing and pricing evaluations across products/projects
- Review and assess project-level costs
, selecting key projects to determine actual vs. estimated costs - Identify and maintain project classifications and costing methodologies
- Support inventory-heavy accounting operations
, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting - Assist with accounts payable (AP) processing as needed
- Partner cross-functionally to evaluate and improve costing accuracy and transparency
- Identify and drive process improvements
, especially around manual workflows, in preparation for system enhancements (Epicor) - Provide flexible support across accounting functions, stepping in where needed in a lean environment
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience
- Strong experience working in inventory-heavy environments
- Comfortable working with manual processes and helping to improve them over time
- Proficiency with Quick Books and strong Excel skills
- Proven ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Willingness to take on a hands-on, adaptable role and support multiple areas as needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
, particularly around pricing and cost evaluation - Demonstrated focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
- Experience working in a multi-site environment
- Exposure to or experience with Epicor ERP (especially in implementation or transition phases)
- Thrives in a growing, changing environment where processes are still being built
- Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys creating structure
- Hands-on, resourceful, and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Process-minded with a continuous improvement mentality
- Strong collaborator with a proactive communication style
