** The incumbent provides advanced specialized administrative support to a designated unit, within the Adult Probation Department’s Operations Division. The incumbent may be assigned a variety of duties which require experience with and previous knowledge of the probation and legal environment.#

** Distinguishing Characteristics:
** This is a classified position that may report to either an Administrative Supervisor II – Courts or Probation Officer III. This position performs duties under general supervision and has no supervisory responsibilities.

* Minimum Qualifications:

** A High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D certificate and four years of progressively responsible administrative support experience in adult probation or a directly related professional legal work environment; OR any equivalent amount of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.
** Important Notice Regarding Multiple Applications:
** Once a candidate formally accepts a job offer with Superior Court, Juvenile Court, or Justice Court (Tucson and Ajo), all other active applications within these courts will be inactivated.
** Essential Duties & Functions:
*** The incumbent may be required to transfer or rotate between Adult Probation offices on short notice depending on division needs.  The actual job duties may rotate but the incumbent is required to remain proficient in all aspects of the job and perform duties reflective to division’s current needs.
* May support Business Systems by performing as a coordinator for projects and activities in support of the case management system.  Maintains all documentation and records regarding the implementation of case management system business processes and applications, modifications, training, compliance requirements, division-wide standards and procedures, problems, errors and their resolutions. Type and distribute reports as needed.
* May support Court Services by conducting intake interviews with defendants in the office or at the jail, reviews and verifies information provided by defendant, performs immediate follow-up on information not provided, enters defendant information in case management system, obtains a signed release of information form, reviews records from Agave and other database sources, obtains prior presentence reports from other jurisdictions, creates a probation file for officers, and conducts research to obtain information pertinent to the presentence process.
* May support Domestic Violence Unit of sentenced limited jurisdiction court probationers.  Provides initial reporting instructions to probationers sentenced to the Domestic Violence Unit.  Reviews minute entries for data entry received from lower courts, including conditions of probation for new probationers. Gathers probationer information such as police records, existing Superior Court presentence reports (PSR), and background records to create a probationer file.

Type and distribute reports for the unit.
* May support Interstate Compact and Inter County Transfers by attending court with probation officers to address probation violations, disposition hearings, and referrals to the interstate and intercounty caseload.
