the choice program is a year-round behavioral health day program designed to support youth who need structured therapeutic intervention while maintaining academic progress.

the distance learning platform ensures clients remain engaged in their education while receiving the behavioral health services they need. Treatment planning is individualized, with curriculum and interventions aligned to each client's specific treatment goals.

position responsibilitiesas a bht/program professional in the choice program, you will:
- provide active supervision to ensure client safety
- support and monitor academic engagement through distance learning platforms
- facilitate behavioral health groups and skill-based interventions
- implement individualized treatment goals and behavior plans
- assist with documentation and case coordination
- provide crisis intervention when necessary
- support clients in a structured therapeutic milieu
- model accountability, emotional regulation, and healthy decision-making
- collaborate with clinical and educational partners
this position requires strong structure, consistency, and the ability to balance therapeutic engagement with academic accountability.
ideal candidates will have:- experience working with at-risk youth or behavioral health populations
- ability to manage group dynamics in a structured setting
- strong communication and documentation skills
- comfort supporting students in online/self-paced academic programs
- crisis intervention skills (or willingness to be trained)
- a passion for empowering youth through accountability and growth
- must meet the minimum state licensing requirements for behavioral health technicians or para professionals
- must be at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma or ged
- experience working with at-risk or behavioral health populations (youth, teens, or adults)
- valid arizona driver's license with no restrictions
- must maintain a driving record that allows insurability under nhcc's insurance carriers
- must be able to complete criminal history self-disclosure affidavits
- must be able to obtain an arizona department of public safety (dps) unrestricted level 1 fingerprint clearance card, which includes state and federal criminal background checks
