Medical Credits and Refunds Specialist

Onsite:
Phoenix, AZ area

Monday through Friday, 8a-5p.

The compensation will range between $22 and $24, dependent on experience level.

Must hold prior experience in Credits and Refund responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Providing guidance in determining if a refund request is appropriate and can be supported and processed
  • Taking inventory of charged transactions when less than zero making this secondary priority
  • Manage problem and resolution of refund questions that arise
  • Consistent review of accounts, prioritizing those less than zero and ensuring prompt resolution
  • Successfully managing credit balances, and providing guidance and clarity as needed
  • Making determination of primary payors when multiple payments come in, and ability to determine appropriate adjustments needed
  • Consistent in maintaining company standards and adherence to proper ethics when dealing with credit balances
What you bring!
  • 3 or more recent years’ experience in Private Care refunds, Medical Claims, Claims Adjustments, health plan transactions, eligibility, and payment activities
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Athena Health Software
  • Experience in MS Suite, Excel, and proficiency with computer systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Can maintain high detail in a fast-paced environment, skilled in problem resolution
  • Highly professional, and ability to communicate in a professional manner and eager to take on new responsibilities
  • Ability to focus on and complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
Pay Details:

$22.00 to $24.00 per hour
