We are currently seeking a committed and reliable Personal Care Attendant/Caregiver to join our growing team.
Job SummaryAs a Personal Care Attendant/Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to clients in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to help individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with clients and their families to maintain dignity and independence while providing compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Help with mobility and movement, including transferring clients in and out of bed or vehicles.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Medication assistance and monitoring clients' health conditions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and tidy living environment.
- Document and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in caregiving or personal care preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a caregiving role or similar position is a plus (agency, company, facility, or related businesses).
- Knowledge of basic caregiving principles, personal hygiene, and safety practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred.
- REQUIRED TRAINING: CPR and First Aid certification is a plus. Direct Care Worker (DCW) certificate Fingerprint Clearance Card
