Job Description Join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System. ABHS is a free-standing psychiatric inpatient hospital with an outpatient program. Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Intake Counselor. The available schedule is a rotating schedule requiring every other Saturday.

Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Intake Counselor. The available schedule is a rotating schedule requiring every other Saturday.
Job Duties- Handle all referrals for services, schedule assessments, and/or refer patients to appropriate community resources
- Complete level of care assessments for clients seeking inpatient and outpatient mental health and detox services
- Admit new patients to the hospital
- Complete pre-certification with insurance companies to authorize patients' hospitalization
- Work with nursing, medical, and other disciplines to coordinate care for patients
- A master's degree in social work, counseling, or a closely related field is required
- Licensed in the state of Arizona and in good standing (LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT)
- Strong working knowledge of DSM-5 criteria, community resources, assessment, and crisis intervention
- Experience in a behavioral healthcare hospital setting is a plus
- Must be 21 years old
- Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
